You are ready to create a character for the Enchanted Hills, Fantastic! Or, you
are prepared to bring in an older character that you think would be fun to play
here in the Enchanted Hills, also Fantastic! Characters are free to be created however
you wish, within reason.
As it stands, there are only a select few 'nobles' that run their perspective cities
and territories while the 'High lord' rules over all the lands. For this reason,
creating a character of royal blood in the Enchanted Hills, who was born in this
land, cannot happen without first speaking to the Game Master.
The Enchanted Hills is a game that is intended to promote characters with substantial
growth. It is intended to be a place where nearly all characters can find some place
to play together. Therefore, without explicit consent from the Game Master, a character
will not be accepted that has a history that would prove impossible to translate
into the system. An example of this would be a deity, or a demigod, an Elder dragon,
or a gelatinous cube.
While original creations are perfectly acceptable, there are a few predefined races
that receive special bonuses. Playing characters that are defined by their power
is strongly discouraged; All characters begin the game at Level 1,
and many players find it difficult to adjust to.
Every character begins the game at Level 1 and has starting dice of
2d30 for combat, 15 health, 0 mana, and
1d20 action dice. Whenever a character gains enough experience to reach
their next level, some of their vitals will increase. It is also possible to increase
the total number of die used in combat to 3 and 4 through
the acquisition of appropriate feats.
Children (Age 3-15) follow the same rules as every other character, however their
beginning statistics are 1d20 combat dice, and 5 health.
