Races play an integral part in The Enchanted Hills. The game is established in such a way as to allow for a wide variety of players, regardless of their role playing background, and to an extent, their character type. However, as with any system that has to have rules and automation, there is a set of 'Template' races. These races are recognized, in game, as part of the lore, history, and society of the Enchanted Hills, and will have additional bonuses above and beyond the typical character.

The racial templates provide a trade off for balance and and consistency. In adhering to a template, your character might follow more rigid guidelines than someone who has not elected a template race, however this is offset by the game allocating many various paths for the template races, including Racial talents. The available races will continue to grow as the game expands.

Racial talents

All template races begin the game with certain bonuses inherit to them. Some will gain more as they progress, however in addition to this, these races are capable of selecting talents that are restricted to their specific race. Some races are encouraged into a specific niche, however through effort and hard work, many of them can elect to go a different path. An example of this might be a magically adept Greenskin, or a melee oriented E'llalin. How you customize your character is up to you.
